Indiya is an Indian restaurant located in the heart of Collingswood. They offer a wide range of food options and are very accommodating to people with allergies. Once I arrived, I was seated right away and was offered water. The service was excellent and they attended my every need without overdoing it. I started with their Ragda Patties. They had a nice little spice to it that was not too overpowering and the chickpeas added a nice touch to it. It was the perfect starter to my meal! Next I tried their Salmon Tandoori. The salmon tasted fresh, tender, and melted in my mouth. It was paired with a salad that was fresh and the dressing had a nice little kick to it. Then I paired it with their rice that was excellent! If you are local and are looking for good authentic Indian food, then Indiya is the place for you.

Another delicious meal at Indyia in Collingswood! Dined here recently with friends and was blown away by how amazing the food, service, and ambiance is here. We shared the spinach chaat for an appetizer and believe me you will dream about this afterward- it's that good. For an entree I chose the chicken curry and asked for medium heat. It was seasoned perfectly and the heat level was right on point. Served with a side of basmati rice, the portion was perfect. We ordered the garlic naan and the onion sage naan for the table and both were fresh and warm. Service was friendly and attentive and the place itself decorated so nicely. Can't wait to return!

Stopped in with a handful of friends and was blown away by the great service and delicious food! Jay our waiter was attentive and friendly. The food was so flavorful and not only did I have an amazing meal that night, but I had enough leftovers for lunch and dinner the next day! Can't wait to go back.

Friendly staff and good food. Liked gravy entree better than tandoori selection. Good naan. We loved cozier decor at the other location on Haddon Ave but are happy the owners could move to larger space. Beautiful new wall mural! Will be back to try thali and brunch buffet! Take out was generous on both rice and gravy and bhajia portion was great and delicious even as takeout. Happy for the new space! Congratulations!

"All alone naturally" ... well I wasn't all alone because I was visiting this beautiful restaurant for a noon time meeting but unfortunately we were all alone because that meant the eating public in the Collingswood area was missing out on a lunch opportunity of great flavors and outstanding service. We were there to talk which meant we didn't order more than appetizers, soup, and yes that goat cheese naan someone else raved about in a review. Service was extraordinarily fantastic! All of the staff showed concern for diners and each other by masking. Our waiter was polite, informative, and caring! The 'Spicy Corn Soup' was perfect for me because I love that added wake up call from perfectly inserted spices. It was just the right heat for me but my meeting partner's palate was a bit more sensitive so the waiter provided her with cream to soothe the heat. Our appetizers, chicken myr-muri rolls and the crispy onion Bhajia were perfectly prepared and the two chutney's were oh soooo good! We both really like the goat cheese naan but I will admit I do love my garlic naan and on the next visit (Oh, yes I plan to return and they have an incredible lunch take out special that I will take advantage of.) I think I will go back to what I like most but this experiment was a good choice! We met for over an hour and not a single other soul stepped in to enjoy lunch and that made me sad because the wait staff was ready to provide outstanding service and the kitchen obviously knows how to create the best flavors of India! If you are hanging around Collingswood at lunch time or dinner time for that matter here's a dining opportunity you shouldn't miss. My only criticism is ... the "take out specials" apparently are not available for those who dine in because we were provided with the dinner menu and if we had come in for lunch rather than talk I would have liked to have made a choice off the take out menu.

How can you tell you've found your go-to Indian restaurant? Yelp reviews are solid, your non-Yelp friends recommend it and you order the same thing each time because it's too good to expand the horizons. Indiya had tough shoes to fill, but it made it to our numero uno Indian spot. Can I start with the soup? For those who say soup is not a meal, probably hasn't had the Curried Butternut Squash or Spicy Corn soups. I haven't had them as standalones, but absolutely could. Aside from the curried part, I don't consider either traditional Indian soup, but that won't stop me from ordering them each time. Hearty, flavorful and soul pleasing, for sure. Garlic naan is the go-to in my household, but now we must do the his and her naan. My naan is the goat cheese naan. Brilliant way to combine two of my loves. The chicken tikka mahkani has made its way to my staple list. Top reason: the sauce. It's a rich red sauce that covers big, tender pieces of chicken. We pair it with the pindi channa masala because we need some well seasoned chick pea in our life. I wish each dish came with its own rice, but I can get my carbs in my own naan I don't share. Our delivery order usually comes with a little freebie of rice pudding, so there you go with the extra rice. Indiaya wasn't on the agenda for this week, but after writing this review, I may need to do a little rescheduling.

I can't believe I haven't written a review about Indiya yet. This place is my go-to for lunch. Their take-out lunch special can't be beat -- I'm wild about whatever the curry-esque orange vegetable side (not the chickpeas) is that sometimes comes with. Truly, you can't go wrong. Just make sure the rice pudding hasn't gone bad; it's been spoiled a couple times that I've ordered, but I don't even mind because everything else is so good!
